Who me?! Oh
please don't make me talk about myself! Eh, ok, if you insist,
here is the two minute rundown. I started doing events and
flowers as a summer job my freshman year in college and just
never really stopped. I tried, but frankly, maybe it's some
sort of OCD because when I hear about a party, I can't help
but start envisioning all sorts of fabulousness and next thing
I know, I'm right back in the business. But the way, is
fabulousness a word? Hmm. Don't know.
Armed with a degree in Interior Design and Art, I set out to
conquer corporate America - you know, go to work for the man,
make my parents proud, blah blah. But, I kept getting offers
from my clients to become their event planners. Leave me alone
people, I'm busy changing the world one fabric swatch at a
time! Now, don't go thinkin' I was out of this party thing all
the way. See, where I went to college, EVERYONE got married
right after college...or at least everyone I knew. And who do
you think ended up planning all those showers and weddings?
You got it. Me. Always the wedding planner, never the bride.
Sigh. Wait...that's not how that saying goes. Shoot.
One day, I threw in the towel and decided to buck the system.
Chunked my 401K and moved to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Whoa. Now
THAT'S splendor! There, I found myself right smack dab in the
hotbed of the biggest, most amazing fabulousness you can
imagine. Working side by side with one of the premiere
florists in the country. And not just in Jackson, we worked
from New York to LA and all in between. I spent my time doing
incredible events, gorgeous, stunning flowers and basking in
the glow of such an unbelievable creative outlet. You name it,
I did it...event wise, that is. Corporate events, galas,
weddings grand to quaint and flowers, flowers, flowers and
more flowers. Can you tell how much I love flowers? Cupcakes
too. And sunsets. Custom boots with butterflies and my
monogram and flamenco guitar are pretty ok too. But alas, I
digress...
The wind swept me up and carried me back to Austin, Texas
where I added another weapon to my arsenal...music! I mean,
how did I get so lucky to land everyone's secret dream job as
a music agent, corporate event planner and band manager?
Sweet! Seven years and more parties, events and gigs than I
can even count, I married a band guy...wait, didn't my mom
warn me about that?! A couple more years, add a baby to the
mix and it was time to stop living life on tour. So I'm back
doing what I love. Planning stuff. Visions of fabulousness
dance in my head.
Moved to Fredericksburg and added some of those Texas Hill Country
sunsets to the mix. Life is good.
There you have it.
